New Harbor built its cybersecurity SaaS platform on Cloudflare's developer and security services, reducing development cycles from months to weeks.
The challenge
Implementing strong cybersecurity is often complicated and time-consuming, requiring dedicated IT teams that many smaller organizations lack. New Harbor needed to build a SaaS platform to bring enterprise-grade security to these lean teams but found traditional cloud architecture and low-code options too slow for their development pace.
The solution
New Harbor built its development platform on Cloudflare Workers to leverage serverless deployment and used Cloudflare Containers to run isolated security tools in temporary environments. They implemented Cloudflare Access for secure remote connectivity to internal assets and utilized the Web Application Firewall, DNS management, and bot protection to defend their public-facing applications.
The results
Development tasks that previously took hours were reduced to minutes, and new engineers were able to contribute within an hour of starting. The team built and shipped a browser-based security diagnostic tool in weeks instead of months. The platform also provided secure remote access for their team without the complexity of a traditional VPN.
